Flash
You will notice flash samples listed in the “Categories.”
While flash is popular and at one time websites were created totally in Flash, today’s smart phones and Ipad have diminished the use of Flash. Most smartphones and Ipad are unable to play the flash websites, movies, and animations.
While HTML5 hold the promise of correcting that problem, some of preliminary coding suggestions I have seen will not work with current browsers. While Internet Explorer is probably the most used of browser, the current version is 8; yet older MS windows versions only support version 6 and create a coding problem for websites. And of course the other big 3 Chrome, Safari, and FireFox already present coding problems/considerations for web programmers. And there are a few Opera browsers with even more limited browsing capabilities.
While technology does a lot of fast changes, I would not expect HTML5 to suddenly come into being and replace all webcodings.
The use of flash to create FLV movies in particular is something that will merge easily into HTML5 whenever it is finally released.
